Sally, you're a vital, rich, and introspective writer. – Gene, PA
Every chapter seems better than the one before! The mail comes in the middle of the day, when I'm busy with company business, and I always make the mistake of reading the first sentence, then the first paragraph, then the second

and you know the rest. It may be because I know you, and have since my publishing house came into existence, or because the writing is riveting (I think it is a little of each). I do appreciate your sharing this personal odyssey through which you struggled without telling me very much at the time. The world is a better place because you're in it, Sally.

It's so good to see you writing with such energy, passion, and insight. – Erwin, PA
I read your chapter on "Meditation," and truly believe we have the power to go into another state and go deep into our minds. I just wish I could put myself in this state of relaxed unconsciousness more easily. You must have some strong will to do this as you like.

A commendable approach to better health one should definitely try to duplicate. –

I think what your writing seems to be saying to me: Get clear and stay clear and be simple. Besides everything else, your courage and one-pointed studiousness to determine what exactly was the best to eat, think, and breathe is quite admirable in today's world of little focus.

Excellent! Style AND Substance. – Ed, NJ
I read your book on Living Without Cancer and
found it to be very readable, informative, and it flowed naturally from section
to section. Your descriptions of family and friends, religious ideas and
personal memories were especially nice. You write beautifully, naturally, and in
a manner that draws me into the exposition. I like the source materials,
recipes, and charts following the chapters. It's all laid out thoughtfully and
makes a visual as well as logical impact. It is a very worth-while,
enlightening book and a great support for many seeking individuals. I will share
it with people who may be battling some disease and in need of some wise words
and encouragement. What a marvelous accomplishment! Congratulations, Sally. –

Your book reads like you were talking to
me. –

Your book chapters have been a pleasure
to read. Your writing will be of help and comfort to others. There is no
substitute for keeping control of your own life to the greatest extent possible,
as long as you can remember to temper that with accepting help when you need it.
You have covered this so well in your book. I also enjoyed the descriptions of
the Ledges and other Central Iowa things which I remember so well. – Bob, CA
Your writing is clear & readable & the information valuable.

I wait for each chapter – believe it or
not – I have made the foolish mistake of sending the earliest chapters to a sick
sick friend – too sick to even be able to talk on the phone – forget about
copying them and sending them back. Please put me down for a WHOLE package next
time. I was completely taken by your story and the direct and short and unique
style. The content was perfectly interesting, even though I'm not a cancer
patient. – Joan, FL
