It’s that time of year where we are reminded to be #grateful for the amazing people and things we have in our lives. And while it’s so important to take time out to be extra thankful, real, life-changing gratitude isn’t something that comes once a year - it’s a daily practice!
Every morning when I get up, I take some time to really center and ground myself and remind myself of what I am grateful for. Typically, I read a passage of something inspirational to me (I keep a stacks of books by me)! I meditate, drink my green jasmine pearl tea, and sit in the same over-size chair. I do breathing exercises and think about three things I’m grateful for each morning. I swear by my yoga practice and am back at it 3x a week. I tend to hold my breath and need to always remind myself to breathe - let it go!
It sounds like I’ve got my morning routine down to a science but as we all know - it’s practice not perfection! There are days it just doesn’t happen. I might have that cup of tea and start my breathing exercises only to be distracted. It’s not easy to stay grounded and to practice gratitude. But it’s important to establish a routine in our lives - even if yours is not as lengthy as mine - even if it’s just 5 minutes while you’re in the shower to remind yourself of the areas you are thankful for. It really helps to stay in the flow and be aligned with Life.
Repetition is the mother of skill - anything we practice over and over again becomes a more natural habit. Like any great athlete, we get better at something with consistent practice. Just a little everyday! When “gratitude becomes our attitude,” we find our truest calling - our purpose. Gratitude helps us lessen our expectations and creates more serenity, love, and connection. It’s where our abundance lives.
So it is with great appreciation, I thank all of you who have supported me (and continue to support me) and the Sally Miller brand throughout the years. I feel honored and blessed to help so many #Sally Girls feel their most confident selves! Our purpose is to always help girls feel their most confident selves, and to help them explore, discover, and celebrate their uniqueness. I feel excited to be working on new projects that will help serve and expand our community more and more!
Wishing all of you true joy, laughter and fulfillment!
